CTRL

Windows

Reach a Windows PC from the browser, and let an approved helper use only the apps you allow.

  1. Install CTRL on the PC

Download CTRL-win-x64.zip, unzip it, and run CTRL-Setup.exe. Sign in with your DAISI account when it asks. Leave the CTRL icon in the tray so the PC stays reachable.

  2. Log in on the site

Open CTRL in the browser and click Login. You land on your computers.

  3. Open a screen

Pick a computer that is online and click Displays. Click a screen to take control. Pop out opens that screen in its own window.

  4. Work on it

The top bar has screen numbers, Native or Adapt size, sound, fullscreen, Hosts, Apps, and Close. Files slides down the shared folders. Copy on this device and paste on the PC, or the other way around.

  5. Let a helper use an app

On the PC, open CTRL and go to Agents. Create an agent and copy the token once — it starts with ctrl_. Approve each program. If an app is not approved, the helper cannot control it. The local plug stays at http://127.0.0.1:17322 and is not opened to the public internet.

  6. Hold for the extra action

A short press does the usual thing. Hold a computer in Hosts to open it in a new tab. Hold a shortcut key to edit the phrase. Hold a number key to type the shift character.
